Design and Illustration Rates
The
cost for drawing services
is $35.00 per hour in Canadian dollars plus expenses, if any are
incurred (this would include such things as long distance charges,
printing costs, mail or courier services). Drawing /Service time
includes any time spent creating and rendering illustrated material,
any time spent on the telephone with the client or any time spent
interacting through email.
All
payments are handled through PayPal where the client can pay with
their credit card or with their own PayPal account if they have one. If
a client is from a country other than Canada, PayPal will display the
currency exchange rate at the time of the payment. The exchange rate is
not a static number and is based on PayPal's own financial system.

Payment Page for Clients
A
retainer fee of 3 hours is required before drawing begins and a
payment, once weekly, afterward will be required from the client. The
client will be kept apprised of the time involved as the sessions
proceed, so no surprises are incurred during the design, drawing
or tutoring processes.
Existing Render or Image Use
The cost to use existing
images is $150.00 per image in Canadian funds. This would allow your
firm to use the image(s) in limited numbers (up to 100) within your
current or subsequent projects. Usage above 100 copies per image will
require negotiations. Royalties are not required after the image(s) are
delivered electronically. This cost is for use only and does not
relinquish my (Donald B. Cheke) copyright to you as I retains the right
to use the image(s) in future works or to offer them to others for use
in their projects. Image credit is expected, except when it would
impact negatively where it is used.
Where images are used within books or magazines, on covers or as
illustrations, image credit must be giving on the copyright page of the
publication including my name and website address.
I do not sell any of my existing images outright, but I would consider
creating models and images specific to your firm, that your firm would
then own. However image credit would be appreciated if at all possible.
I can image edited most existing images, or new images can be rendered
from the original files to better suit a firm's requirements. This work
is done as part of Textual Creations Design & Illustration services
and costs $35.00/hr in Canadian funds.
My preferred method of payment is via PayPal, for which I have a
transaction page set up for clients/customers. Details will be supplied
if you decide to proceed.
If you have a specific size (in pixels) and file format requirements
let me know otherwise I will make a zipped high resolution BMP file
available (1500 x 2500 or possibly 2100 x 3500 pixels). The user could
then resize this image
and save in alternate file formats as their needs dictate.
After a transaction is made I will supply the image(s) along with a
letter stating the terms of use. This will double as a permission slip
that can be presented to printers, should there be any concerns on the
part of the printer.
