Not so long ago I had someone ask me if I had a two-story house tutorial that looked not only at modeling the structure but also at drawing creation, including things like elevation and hatching. I realized that it had been a while since I created a comprehensive tutorial for this type of thing so I began to ponder what I wanted to model and spend time on. It struck me that my grandchildren where coming to the age where a playhouse in the back yard might be welcome. With that in mind I decided that a shed/playhouse combo might be just the thing to cover many architectural things and satisfy a grandpa’s imagination. Low and behold, a little while later, a new tutorial. I hope you like the renders and I hope you enjoy the tutorial should you choose to take if for a spin.
Within the tutorial the viewer will be led through each keystroke to produce all the Shed-Playhouse components illustrated on the tutorial cover utilizing many of TurboCAD’s architectural tools. The viewer will also learn how to create six drawing sheets using viewports and drafting palette objects. Aside from the model and drawing creation, the viewer will learn how to apply materials, establish standard and luminance lighting and create a render scene environment. The reader will also learn how to render their model and save it in a high-resolution image format and print their drawing to PDF.
