Textual Creations is very pleased to announce the release of TurboCAD Pro V17.2 – Architectural Presentation

Click image to see larger version

TurboCAD Pro V17.2 – Architectural Presentation is a 411 page fully illustrated tutorial that leads the reader through every keystroke to produce the house that is on the cover of the tutorial (including three views and one paper space page).

Included with the tutorial are 30 quality home furnishings created by Don Cheke that may be used after the tutorial in personal or commercial works, as outlined in the ‘Files’ section of the tutorial book.

TurboCAD Pro V17.2 – Architectural Presentation is available on the Textual Creations Shopping Page. Sample pages are available there.

From the Introduction:

Without a doubt, one of the larger fields where CAD software is employed regularly is within the architectural industry and its myriad faces. As such, any means to make the process of architectural presentation quicker and easier is most certainly welcome. With such thinking driving the development of TurboCAD, this awesome program continues to evolve and provide users a formidable way to achieve pleasing and functional plans and renderings in a very timely and professional manner.

TurboCAD Pro V17.2 – Architectural Presentation is a fully illustrated tutorial that leads the beginner through every keystroke necessary to transform IMSI/Design’s 2D Marion floor plan into the fully detailed 3D model presented on the cover of this tutorial. The furnishings are not created during the tutorial, but they are supplied and inserted into the house during the tutorial. This tutorial was originally written for TurboCAD version 11 and then revised for version 15 and due to its popularity it has now been fully revised for version 17.2, integrating new program processes and some new design ideas.

Also within the tutorial, the reader will learn how to set up their drawing, how to insert standard lighting and how utilize render scene luminance. The reader will learn how to establish a render scene environment and the reader will learn how to render their drawing and save it in a high resolution image format. Three different views will be established and one paper space page will be created.

TurboCAD Pro V17.1 – Industrial Shock Absorber is a 237 page fully illustrated tutorial that leads the reader through every keystroke to produce the industrial shock absorber and four drawing sheets on the cover of the tutorial.

TurboCAD Pro V17.1 – Industrial Shock Absorber is available on the Textual Creations Shopping Page. Sample pages are available there.

From the Introduction:

During the author’s tenure with TurboCAD much delight has been found creating a variety of printed pages for enumerable projects. Ever since the advent of the Drafting Palette the job of drafting has become so much more efficient and more pleasing.

Within the tutorial the reader will be led through each keystroke to produce all components of the industrial shock that is illustrated on the cover of the tutorial. The reader will learn how to set up their drawing, how to insert standard lighting and how utilize render scene luminance. The reader will learn how to establish a render scene environment and the reader will learn how to render their drawing and save it in a high resolution image format. The user will also learn how to use paper space by first creating a title block and then utilizing viewports and Drafting palette objects to create a four page presentation.

I have been revisiting some of my older models with TurboCAD V17.1. I am a little disappointed that this latest version of TurboCAD does not work well with models created in previous versions. This was never an issue with previous of TurboCAD, so I know it doesn’t have to be this way. Hopefully it will get sorted out in time for the next patch, if one is indeed, in the planning. Issues seem to be with memory and lack there of.

To create the 3D PDF I saved in stp format from TurboCAD and imported the stp results into Alibre Standard V12.1. I then published to PDF from Alibre with fine results. It would be quite nice if layer names were retained during the translation from tcw to stp, but so far this is not the case.

TurboCAD V17.1 – Anatomy of a TurboCAD House is a 326 page fully illustrated tutorial that leads the reader through every keystroke to produce the cutaway house on the cover of the tutorial.

TurboCAD V17.1 – Anatomy of a TurboCAD House is available on the Textual Creations Shopping Page. Sample pages are available there.

From the Introduction:

I had been surfing the internet one day looking for tutorial inspiration when I came across a house cutaway that I just loved. I knew immediately that this was the route I wanted to go to showcase many of the TurboCAD architecture tools that exist. I made contact via email and asked if those behind the creation minded if I based my new tutorial on their idea. Matt Jennings replied that he was pleased that I liked his illustration and said that he was okay with basing the tutorial on it. Thanks Matt! (See tutorial or tutorial sample pages for link to Matt’s website and rendering)

I hope that you enjoy the tutorial.

Best regards,

More and more, architects, builders and interior designers are being forced to compete in the industry by supplying top notch architectural visuals in a timely and cost effective manner. Luckily, CAD software designers such as IMSI/Design are aware of these needs and have stepped up to the plate to create a package that addresses these needs – all the while keeping in mind the budget conscious, ease of use and, of course, quality of output.

TurboCAD Pro V17 (Platinum Edition) has kept up with the tradition of introducing additional architectural features, this time most notably with the addition of window muttons. Within this tutorial the new user will be introduce to many of the new and existing architectural tools and functions in a manner that should prove most enjoyable.

Here is the Anatomy of a TurboCAD House [Build] video if anyone is interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUx3WuE_BH4 Creating the video is not part of the tutorial, it is just something extra I did for fun with the components that are created as part of the tutorial

Here is a link to a larger version, it is much better than the tiny YouTube video
